Your Voice Matters

What does it mean to “use your voice”?

I bet you don’t realize it, but you use your voice all the time.

Sometimes it’s a whisper.

Sometimes it’s a shout.

Sometimes it’s a small action.

Sometimes it’s a strong statement.

We use our voices when we choose, when we decide, when we put our foot down.

When we support our favorite charity, we are using our voice.  When we purchase eco-friendly cleaning products, we are using our voice.  When we protest a brand because its behavior contradicts with our values, we are using our voice.

We use our voices when we choose not to speak.

When we block a toxic person, we are using our voice.  When we choose not to argue at the dinner table, we are using our voice.  When we observe and listen instead of debating, we are using our voice.

And today, Election Day, we have a unique opportunity to use our voice.  Every voice matters.  Every voice counts.  Every voice should be heard.

Go out and vote.  Use your voice.
